Abstract / Description

CDC’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP) believes that all people should have the fair and just opportunity to live their healthiest life. However, some people may not have equitable access to resources and opportunities due to unfair policies, practices, and conditions and differential treatment because of a variety of factors. These factors include but are not limited to race and ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, physical abilities, geographic location, educational background, and economic status.
